1. Exercising the power bestowed upon it in accordance with Section 4 of Income Tax Law, the Ministry of Finance and Revenue hereby announced this notification under the resolution passed at Meeting

No. 18/2011 of the Union Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 18 August 2011.

2. According to the provisions manifested in paragraph 2 (b) and paragraph 3 of Notification No. 124/2006 dated 5-6-2006 of the Ministry of Finance and Revenue, the income tax levied in foreign currency on incomes of salaries in foreign exchange of nationals and foreigners living in the nation from 10% to 2%.

3. This notification shall be in effect for a period of six months from 19 August 2011 to 18 February 2012.
